It has been one month since my ACL reconstructive surgery/MCL repair. Thank goodness they did both at the same time! I have NEVER been so helpless in my life. This was my first major surgery and hopefully my last. I am NOT good at sitting. Below is a photo of this the constant passive motion machine that I was strapped to for a week.
Here I am with my crutches going down some stairs. Stairs are not fun when you can't quite bend you knee.
This was taken last week. Almost all my swelling is gone, my incision has healed up completely, and I don't need crutches anymore.
The Doc said I can't run (duh), rock climb, ride, or pretty much do anything that is fun for another few weeks. Thank GOD I can sail or else I would completely lose my mind. The Doc didn't actually say I could sail but I convinced him I would be okay.
PROJECT MAYHEM!!!! I can't wait for Star and Bar tomorrow.
